Holihomes is a joint venture between the German Businessman Christopher Koeppler and the Greek Engineer George Katsampanis. Their business collaboration grew out of a private friendship and a shared passion for bringing old buildings back to life and for new purposes. They are convinced that in our throwaway society, many more things should be preserved, remanufactured, improved and optimized. Holihomes is a company that is completely independent of third-party investors. The projects are exclusively self-financed. Customers do not have to make any pre-financing or down payments.

Christopher Ray Koeppler

I was born in Toronto, Canada in 1964 and grew up in Germany. I studied management, business administration and corporate law at the University of Oldenburg in Germany and graduated in 1990.
During my business career, I have worked as CFO and CEO for a number of companies from various sectors of the economy and have founded a few companies of my own. This gives me a lot of experience in the areas of venture capital, business organization and management, management of digital application companies and financing. I particularly focused on working with startup companies, the digital transformation of larger companies and sustainable business models.
My great passion is the preservation, renewal and transformation of residential buildings. As a young man, I began buying, renovating and renting out historic apartment buildings from the Art Nouveau period in Germany.
In 2012 me and my family discovered our love for Greece. Since then we have spent every free minute in this beautiful country with the friendliest and most open people in the world.
In 2015 we bought a holiday home in Nea Makri and renovated it in 2023 together with our friend and architect George Katsampanis.
Our family has been living permanently in Nea Makri since 2023.
George Katsampanis

I was born in Piraeus, Greece in 1971 and studied architecture at Aristoteles University in Thessaloniki, where I graduated in 1995.
I have been studying and building all types of residential, commercial and hotel buildings since 1992, with my mission statement being to harmoniously combine tradition with current technology.
I gained my 35 years of professional experience as a partner in large architectural firms and as a freelance engineer and architect.
I am a big fan of bioclimatic design of buildings and renewable energy solutions.
I have also been involved in the integration of automation systems in buildings for more than 17 years and am a certified partner of the International Automation Organization KNX.
I have been living in Nea Makri with my family since 2009.
